Quitpath Plus Program

The QuitPath Plus program is designed to help tobacco users who would like more assistance to help them quit.

This program is best suited for tobacco users who are ready to become tobacco-free within 30 days or have stopped using tobacco within the last month.


You will receive:

  • four counselling sessions to assist you in becoming smoke-free. The sessions are held once a week for four weeks, in community locations throughout the Yukon or through telehealth.

    The topics covered during the sessions include;
    • readiness to quit
    • making a quit plan
    • understanding triggers and urges
    • dealing with withdrawal
    • prevention of slips and a return to smoking
    • and supports
  • a QuitPack and a workbook to help you develop your quit plan
  • bi-monthly newsletters
  • telephone support from Health Promotion staff
  • You may be eligible to receive free nicotine patches. Check your eligibility.

You will be called twice during the six months following the counselling sessions to answer any questions you may have or help brainstorm solutions to problems or challenges you have encountered. Health Promotion staff will also ask for help in evaluating this program.
